How do we turn spaces into community places?

Learn how to create and sustain the public spaces that build community, and how to use maps to tell a story of what's happening in our communities.

Hands-on Workshops with National Experts
Learn how to use tools and techniques like placemaking, community mapping, asset mapping and GIS, taught by experts from organizations including Project for Public Spaces and PolicyLink.

Keynote Presentation: PPS's "Power of 10" Tool for Placemaking
PPS (Project for Public Spaces) has worked in 2,000 communities worldwide, helping people turn their public spaces into vital community places, with programs, uses, and people-friendly settings that build local value and serve community needs.

Win $500 For Your Place-Based Project (like a Community Garden!)
Local groups have until July 1 to submit a one-page proposal to create/improve a local public space (guidelines are available at www.imaginemiami.org). Finalists will pitch their projects at the Conference.
